Chimney Crown Repair: CrownSeal Premixed Waterproof Coating with FREE Shipping
CrownSeal is an excellent trowel grade chimney product to repair cracked and degraded chimney crowns. CrownSeal remain permanently flexible, so it
can be used right up against the flue tile, making it unnecessary to leave space around the flues for expansion.
It is appropriate for both horizontal and vertical applications as long as the chimney crown surface is structurally sound. It can even be used on
stucco.
Application of CrownSeal is easy: First, sweep the chimney crown off to remove any loose particles. Then trowel on CrownSeal to a thickness of 1/8" to 1/4".
Smooth out the trowel marks with a wet paint brush. That's it! You'll have a waterproof chimney crown that dries to a natural concrete look.
CrownSeal covers about 18 square feet of chimney crown per gallon at a thickness of 1/8". It dries in
about 6 hours and cures completely in 24 to 72 hours, depending on the temperature and humidity. CrownSeal should not be used at temperatures below 40o. The temperature must remain above 40o for 24 hours after it is applied. CrownSeal is available in either a 2 gallon or a 5 gallon container. Both are shipped
to you in the continental U.S. with FREE Shipping. Store CrownSeal where temperatures will not fall below 40o. CrownSeal carries a 10-year warranty.
