raise the height of your flue, so they are helpful with some smoky fireplace problems:

- If smoke sometimes puffs into your room while your fireplace fire is burning, check outside your home. Are there structures (such as a taller part of your
own home, a nearby home, or trees) blocking a good flow of air by your flue? If so, would raising your flue's opening by a foot or two put it above those structures? If that's the
case, a Flue Stretcher can be a low cost solution to your down-drafting problem.
- If you have an upstairs and a downstairs fireplace with flues near each other, do you get smoke coming out of the downstairs fireplace when
the upstairs fireplace is burning? If so, adding a Flue Stretcher to the flue of the upstairs fireplace raises the flue's opening by a foot or two. By distancing with a Flue
Stretcher the upstairs flue's smoke from the downward pull of the downstairs flue, you can eliminate the smoke-out-one-flue-and-down-the-other problem.

Stretcher; the additional 10 inches is the chimney cap part of the Flue Stretcher. To add two feet to the height of your existing flue, select a 34" tall Flue Stretcher; the additional 10
inches is the chimney cap part of the Flue Stretcher.
