The pitched, designer lids are removable for easy annual cleaning by
your chimney sweep. The designer lids of the outside mount chimney caps are constructed of 24 gauge stainless steel.

horizontal skirt width
(how far in from the outer edge of the mesh screening will be) and the vertical skirt height (how far down the chimney the skirt goes.) The standard horizontal skirt width is 2 inches and the standard vertical skirt height is 3 inches.
The mesh screening, which should be at least 5 inches tallerthan your tallest flue with a recommended 8 inch minimum, is constructed of 18 gauge stainless steel. Specify the screen height

Is the top of the cement part around your flues (the crown) more than an inch above the chimney bricks? If so, you will need an elevation between the top edge of the vertical skirt and the bottom of the screen mesh.
