(for flues as short as those that do not protrude at all above the crown up tthrough those that are 3 inches tall), 10 inches (for flues up to 5 inches tall), 12 inches
(for flues up to 7 inches tall), and 16 inches
(for flues up to 11 inches tall). Having at least 5 inches between the top of your tallest flue and the lid of the Chimney Protector Chimney Cap assures your fireplace will safely and correctly draft.

Two styles of screen meshing are also available with these top-mount chimney caps. Select
California 5/8 inch mesh chimney cap if you live in California or a wildfire prone area. Everyone else can use the standard 3/4 inch mesh.
All Gelco Stainless Steel Chimney Protector Chimney Caps are remarkably easy to assemble and install.
Three of the four screen sides of the chimney caps arrive joined together. You just attach the fourth side and the chimney cap lid.
At the bottom edge of each side of the chimney cap is a 1.5" wide mounting flange.
Theses mounting flanges can be turned to either the inside of the mesh screen section or to the outside position, away from the screened-in section. This flexibility allows more
options for selecting a Gelco Stainless Steel Chimney Protector Chimney Cap that will cover the portion of the chimney crown you wish to protect.
Tapcon screws are included with each Gelco Stainless Steel Chimney
Protector Chimney Cap. Use them to attach the mounting flanges of your Chimney Protector to the chimney crown. Alternatively, you can affix the chimney cap's
mounting flanges to the crown with Construction Adhesive.
The removable lid of Gelco Stainless Steel Chimney Protector Chimney Caps is
3 inches larger in each direction than the screened area. The lids are made of 24 gauge stainless steel. The mesh sides and frame are made of 18 gauge stainless steel.
