To select the appropriate Vacu-Stack Chimney Cap and Vacu-Stack Chimney Cap Adapter, measure the insidedimensions of your masonry flue and consult the chart below. Although more than one size Vauc-Stack Chimney Cap might fit on any given size of flue, the chart below shows the
optimal Vacu-Stack for each size masonry flue.
To attach a Vacu-Stack to a masonry flue
Seal the Vacu-Stack Masonry Adapter to the top of your flue with a bead of Chimney Cap Adhesive.
Turn the wing nut device that extends the ends of the threaded rod at the sides of the adaptor (see photo of adapter at left) until the ends of the rod are wedged at the corners of
the square or rectangular flue.
Then the Vacu-Stack chimney cap simply fits into the round portion of the adaptor.
Use Chimney Cap Construction Adhesive to attach or secure your chimney cap to
the crown of your chimney. Available in cartridges that will fit most caulking guns.
