will arrive completely assembled. First, set your outside mount chimney cap on your chimney just like you would put a lid on a shoe box.
Then you have your choice of attaching your Outside Mount Chimney Cap with Tapcon masonry fasteners or with adhesive.
If using the Tapcon masonry screw system, drill through the vertical skirt of your chimney cap and into the chimney approximately every 12 inches using a Tapcon
drill bit. Then insert and tighten each Tapcon Masonry Fastener.
If you prefer using adhesive, apply a discontinuous zigzag bead of adhesive to affix the vertical skirt of the chimney cap to the vertical sides of the chimney.
The discontinuous bead allows any accumulated water to drain.
